We will meet with you face-to-face to identify your values, goals and ambitions in terms of your financial future, as well as understanding your current circumstances. There is no obligation to proceed following the initial discussion stage.
Before attempting any research and analysis, it is essential to carry out a full and detailed assessment of your personal and financial circumstances. If the foundation is weak anything built on it will not be sound.
In making our recommendations regarding your investment strategy we follow clearly defined principles which are detailed in the St. James’s Place brochure “Introducing our Approach to Investment and the Investment Committee” which will be provided to you.
The next step is to hold an in-person meeting to present our recommendations and options in regards to your financial plan and investment strategy recommendations. These recommendations will have been arrived at after careful analysis of all the information and data you have given to us and will be based around tried and tested financial planning principles.
We will provide you with an implementation Plan to detail the specific actions that you need to take to achieve your goals and to keep on track. We will help you organise your paperwork and set up online services. We will also develop and agree your personalised schedule for future review meetings and ask you to sign a copy of the “Ivanhoe Financial Planning Service Agreement”.
We will then open your new accounts and conduct the trades to execute your agreed upon investment strategy. It may be necessary at this stage to encash, surrender or transfer holdings if your existing investments are not ideally suited to your circumstances.
We will schedule an in person meeting to review any paperwork received and to discuss your initial progress to date.
We understand that your circumstances are subject to change and our in-depth holistic approach is crafted for each client so once your financial plan is in place then we will regularly monitor and evaluate your progress towards your goals to ensure you remain on track.
We know providing you with a value proposition is one thing, fulfilling it is quite another. Ultimately, the only way we know how well we are delivering on our value proposition is to ask our clients.
We will always welcome feedback from our client community to understand how they perceive our processes, philosophy and service. In addition, we run surveys for a newly engaged clients as well as those in receipt of ongoing service.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds selected and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than the amount invested.
